Neo.Son Re-Lives/Covers a Buddy Holly classic
Considered as "the single most influential creative force in
early rock and roll," a legend and an icon,
Buddy Holly is a profound influence in the world
of popular music. His song "Everyday" has been covered by a
great number of well known artists like Deep Purple, Pearl
Jam and James Taylor just to name a few.
Neo.Son takes Buddy Holly's "Everyday" and turns it into an
electronic and dance power remix. Their version feature a
cool hard beat to the song that makes you want to get up and
groove. The relived version by Neo.Son definitely will be one of
the hit singles off of the album.
I found a cool viral video for "Everyday" that
uses the original song in a flash animation sequence. Look
closely, it almost seems like they feature a Camellia flower in the
video. How "iconic" and cool! Another interesting factoid,
during the recording of this song it is said that the "tapping" on
the background is simply the drummer using his hand to tap his leg
to the rhythm of the beat while a microphone amplified the sound
through the recording.
More Interesting Facts:
Pop and rock artists that have covered the song
include Other People's Songs, John
Denver and The Trashmen.
The song has also been featured in the television show
Two and a Half Men, and in popular films like
Stand By Me and Big Fish.
The song Everyday was ranked #236 on Rolling
Stone list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time

I have also included the Video Flyer of Neo Son
